Though unfounded, one of the hurdles that Silver Sol had to overcome is a perceived connection to argyria. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Validation

Further to the scientific evidence required in order to gain a patent, substances such as Silver Sol require certain approvals from the American EPA, including a Toxicity Rating.
